LAS VEGAS (CelebrityAccess) The former home of the Celine Dion residency in Las Vegas, The Colosseum at Caesars Palace, will reportedly reopen with two nights of Keith Urban Sept. 6-7 as part of his Grafitti U World Tour.
The former resident and the facility’s founding promoter, AEG / Concerts West, wrapped up their 17-year relationship with the building in June and it was announced in April that the Colosseum would be renovated with a new partnership with Live Nation.
The theatre will now have 4,300 seats and a general admission area with a 380 capacity, according to Billboard. It will include an improved sound system, moving light fixtures and a high-definition LED video wall that will more than double the resolution of the existing wall, the trade mag said. It will also be able to remove the GA section with a lift system that will bring seats up from beneath the floor. There will also be a VIP experience that would include banquettes and bottle service.
“Caesars Entertainment could not be more excited to celebrate the relaunch of The Colosseum at Caesars Palace by welcoming Keith Urban to officially unveil many new and state-of-the-art enhancements that we have made to our award-winning venue,” Jason Gastwirth, president of entertainment of Caesars Entertainment, told Billboard. “Keith is a remarkable musician, and the general admission area will provide our guests an exciting entertainment experience in the next chapter of The Colosseum.”
