LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) – Scott Cutler and Josh Abraham, co-CEOs of PULSE Music Group and Ashley Calhoun, President of PULSE Music Group, have announced the promotion of Steven Gringer to Senior Vice President (SVP) of A&R, PULSE Music Group. Gringer was previously VP of A&R, PULSE Music Group. Gringer is based at the company’s Los Angeles headquarters and reports to Calhoun. His responsibilities include signing and developing PULSE Music Group’s world-class roster of songwriters and producers and helping to oversee international creative affairs for its publishing division.

“What makes Steven really incredible as an A&R executive is his deft ability to work across genres, creating pop, Latin, hip-hop and international opportunities for our roster of songwriters and producers. As we continue to take the careers of our clients to the next level, Steven’s work over the past 10 years at PULSE Music Group has been an instrumental part of this success. We are delighted to recognize Steven’s work with this well-deserved promotion as he continues to grow his career at PULSE Music Group,” said Cutler, Abraham and Calhoun.

“PULSE Music Group fosters a creative atmosphere that allows our clients and A&R team to work to their full potential. I have had the privilege of working with this extraordinary team for over 10 years—our team dynamics keep me on the edge of my seat every day as we strategize the most effective plans for our clients, and I look forward to continuing to help guide our clients and team to realizing their highest potential and goals. I owe a lot of my personal growth to the guidance of Scott, Josh, and Ashley — I am very fortunate to have them as leaders,” said Gringer.

Gringer notably works with songwriter/producer Gabe Simon, who co-wrote and co-produced Noah’s Kahan’s critically-acclaimed album Stick Season, earning him a No. 1 spot on Billboard’s Top Rock Producers and Top Rock and Alternative Producers charts with 18 songs simultaneously on the Billboard Hot Rock and Alternative Songs chart.

Simon also co-produced (along with Kahan) the No. 1 radio single “Dial Drunk” feat. Post Malone which is RIAA certified 2XPlatinum and AIRA certified Gold. Simon’s production and songwriting discography totals over 6 billion streams worldwide, and he has co-written commercial singles for Dua Lipa, Lana Del Rey, Maroon 5, Anderson .Paak, Rag N Bone Man, James Bay, Hailee Steinfeld, Ruel, Jessie Murph and many more.

Continuing to bring success for PULSE Music Group writers in the Latin music space, Gringer also works with Manuel Lara, a GRAMMY award-winning producer, songwriter and engineer.
