Wingate will join host Dan Steinberg to share some of his favorite stories and anecdotes pulled from a storied career that spans more than 4 decades, followed by a Q&A session moderated by Steinberg.

An early devotee of the lively arts, Wingate developed an early affinity for music and was a regular concert fan and hosted a weekend radio show on Connecticut’s WPLR, where after a chance meeting with Bruce Springfield, he debuted the Boss’s seminal hit “Born To Run” for the first time for listeners in the market.

Some of Wingate’s past gigs include Director of East Coast Promotions / Operations for Chess/Janus Records, Product Manager at Columbia Records, and Senior VP of A&R at Polygram, where he helped to bring albums such as Bon Jovi’s “Slippery When Wet” to the fore.

Wingate also did a stint as Senior VP of Marketing, promoting the music of artists such as Sarah McLachlan, Crash Test Dummies, Ace of Base, and the Notorious B.I.G.

In 2012, Wingate helped to launch Digital Entertainment Ventures, a digital media consultancy that he later relaunched in 2017 as DEV Advisors, a digital entertainment consultancy that provides expertise to service providers, app developers, content owners and investors, with services including business development, partnerships, licensing, artist relations and investment.

Gold will join host Dan Steinberg to share a selection of sordid stories and titillating tales from his years in the entertainment industry, followed by a moderated Q&A session.

With a reputation as one of Canada’s top music managers, Gold has managed the careers of some of the biggest names in Canadian music, including The Tragically Hip, The Watchmen, The Cliks, and Sass Jordan.

Born in the U.S. but transplanted to the frozen hinterlands of Ontario at an early age, Gold launched his management company, Jacob J. Gold & Associates, with Allan R. Gregg in 1985,

Within a year, he had secured a management deal with the beloved Canadian band The Tragically Hip, starting a business relationship that would last for more than 17 years.

In 1989, the company adopted name that may be more familiar today, the Management Trust Ltd.

Since then, Gold and The Management Trust have been thrice named as Managers of the Year by the Canadian Music Industry and have been instrumental in launching the careers of The Watchmen, David Gogo and Big Wreck.

In addition to his work as an artist manager, Gold has become a fixture on Canadian television, hosting six seasons of the televised talent competition Canadian Idol.

Forte will join host Dan Steinberg on the audio-only social media app Clubhouse to share some of his favorite stories from his long career in live entertainment, followed by a moderated question & answer session with the audience.

Forte has decades of experience in the industry to draw tales from, starting when he began booking student concerts while he was attending North Carolina State University to his time at major talent agencies such as Creative Management Associates (CMA), International Creative Management (ICM) and William Morris Agency (WMA).

During that time, Forte represented music luminaries such as The Clash, Hall and Oates, Joe Jackson, Return to Forever and Tom Petty, in addition to developing a global relationship with David Bowie that spanned more than two decades.

In 1981, when he was 30, Forte partnered with the late Michael Farrell to launch International Talent Group (ITG), representing a roster that included Duran Duran, The Cure, Depeche Mode, Genesis, Phil Collins, Pink Floyd, King Crimson, The Tragically Hip and Billy Idol.

In 1992, Forte ventured out on his own again and founded the talent agency and consultancy Entourage Talent Associates, Ltd. Through Entourage, Forte has gone on to oversee the careers of artists such as Dave Mason, Steve Hackett, as well as longtime clients Tedeschi Trucks Band, Joan Armatrading, Procol Harum, Renaissance, and Joe Satriani.

Today, Forte enjoys cycling and running, and is an avid fan of college basketball, especially March Madness, as well as the Tour de France, and Olympic Track & Field.
