NASHVILLE (CelebrityAccess) — American country music trio Lady Antebellum have pulled out of their upcoming concert run in South Africa, citing singer Hillary Scott’s pregnancy.
Lady A was slated to perform a pair of shows in the region, starting on Oct. 13th with a show at Grand Arena in Capetown, followed by a performance at Ticketpro Dome in Johannesburg on Oct. 15th as part of their 2017 You Look Good World Tour.
A statement released by Live Nation-affiliated Big Concerts said:
“It has been advised that in the best interests of Lady A’s Hillary Scott’s health and that of her twins, that the tour no longer go ahead in South Africa.
Says Lady Antebellum: “We are thrilled for Hillary and her precious twin girls, but want to share our deepest apologies to our fans. We have dreamed of performing in South Africa for years and can’t wait to make new plans to visit your beautiful country soon.”
At present, the group’s scheduled run of European dates, which is set to get underway on Oct. 1st at AFAS Live in the Netherlands, and to wrap up with a show a the O2 in London on October 10tth is still a go.
Scott announced her pregnancy in August, revealing that she, and her husband Scott Tyrrell, were expecting twin girls.
