(Hypebot) — A panel of in-the-trenches experts will discuss the state and future of independent live music in the U.S. this Thursday at the Music Biz Conference in Nashville.

While the top tier of the US and global live industry had its best year ever in 2023, more than 130 grassroots music venues closed in the UK, and dozens more are in crisis. Australia has lost 1,300 small and mid-sized live music venues, one-third of the entire sector, since the start of the COVID pandemic.
